Before you ring
If your question is not here, ask us on the phone. We would rather talk it through.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Taunton and most work is within about an hour of it: Bridgwater, Yeovil, Wells, Glastonbury, Street, Weston-super-Mare, Tiverton and Exeter. For longer contracts we travel further across Somerset, Devon, Dorset, Wiltshire and Bristol.
How do you price a job?
We come and look at the site first, then send a written quotation with the work itemised so you can see what each part costs. Nothing starts until you have agreed it.
Do you take on one-off jobs?
Yes. A single day of tree work or a one-off clearance is as welcome as a year-round grounds contract.
What happens to the waste?
Arisings are chipped or taken away the same day wherever we can. Everything that leaves site goes to a licensed facility and we can supply waste transfer notes.
Do you work for councils and contractors?
Yes. Alongside private and estate work we take on verge and sightline cutting, culvert and rhyne clearance, winter services and storm response for highways authorities, drainage boards, term contractors and estates.
How quickly can you come out?
We answer every enquiry within a working day and arrange a site visit from there. Urgent work such as storm damage or a blocked watercourse is better phoned through than emailed.
Can you get machinery onto a soft or awkward site?
Usually. We run tracked plant that will work on soft ground and get through gaps a wheeled digger will not. Access is one of the first things we check on the site visit.
Do you work through the winter?
Yes. When the grass stops growing the work changes rather than stops: winter tree work, hedge laying, ditch and culvert clearance before the wet weather, and gritting and snow clearance for car parks, yards and access roads.
